Hello, I'm Jill Bazeley. I live near Melbourne, Florida, with my husband Basil, our three boys, and our dog. My goal as a photographer is to capture overlooked moments of art, beauty, and dignity. I also like to recognize the extraordinary achievements of high school athletes, especially those who have poor access to quality photography.
While many of my photos are available for sale, either in print form or as licensed images, most photographic services I provide are donations to schools and local non-profit groups. High school and collegiate athletes are always able to download original images completely free of charge. I am not available for private portrait, event, or product photography.
In a previous incarnation, I was a television new anchor at stations in Orlando, Albuquerque, and Tucson. I grew up in San Diego and graduated from La Jolla High School and the University of California, San Diego.
I shoot with a Nikon D200 and process with Photoshop CS2 and/or Paint Shop Pro X. My lenses include the exceptional Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR, a Nikon 50mm f/1.4, a Nikon 50mm f/1.8, a Sigma 105mm f/2.8 macro and the overrated but versatile Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR. On sunny days, I may add a 1.4X teleconverter to the 70-200mm f/2.8 lens.
I always buy "no-name" memory products and keep an 8GB Transcend CF card in the camera and another 4GB card in my pocket. I take thousands of pictures but am highly selective about what I display in my galleries.
My guest book is below and comments are always welcome. Thanks for visiting!
